Family Dances

Join us for our annual Christmas Family Dance!

Where: The Tate Gym 5600 Highway 53 East, Tate, GA

Food: heavy horderves

Dress: Casual or Christmas attire (Comfy clothes and shoes you can move in)

Payment: Online or at the door with cash or Venmo (no refunds if paying ahead of time)

0 - 11: free

12 & Up: $15 per person

Family Cap (immediate family): $50

*Doors open at 5:45 pm.  

The first hour from 6:00 - 7:00 is planned especially for children ages 4-11 and their parents (parental participation is expected), but everyone is welcome anytime.

*At 7:00, the dances will begin shifting to focus on older kids and adults. The dances are still suitable for most everyone, but they are a little more involved.

*From 8:00-9:00, we ask that only ages 12 and up participate. We will be doing contra dances and more advanced group dances. (No experience is necessary, but some of the moves are too hard for younger children.)

*From 9:00-9:30, we will play music for those who would like to polish their skills on couple dances such as Foxtrot, swing, or waltz. If this is not your thing, you can enjoy refreshments, fellowship, or just head home.

Please note: This is a family dance. It is not a dance where you can drop off your unsupervised children. We do not allow anyone under the age of 18 without an accompanying adult. Our only exception is for students who are 16 or 17 and a current member of Footsteps with an up-to-date waiver. Also, please don't send younger siblings with your teenagers.
